SPPI Initiates Culture Workshop

In this age of information, advance technology and global business landscape, under- standing cross cultural differences is key to remain relevant and competitive in the market. Science Park of the Philippines (SPPI) recognizes such insight as it contin- ues to enjoy good partnership and working relations particularly with Japanese inves- tors and locators.

Applying the same principle to the rest of the company, SPPI President Richard Albert Osmond initiated a Japanese culture work- shop to guide and equip employees with the right knowledge in dealing with Japa- nese guests and colleagues.

Among the topics discussed in the whole day workshop included Japanese culture and values, cultural dimension comparison of the Philippines and Japan, cross cultural communication, Japanese style business manners and Japan’s unique business practices. At the end of the workshop, attendees were asked to participate in some role playing for prac- tical application of the principles dis- cussed throughout the workshop.
