On June 10, 2020 , Ms. Pamela Pascual was guest speaker of the webinar organized by World Trade Center Associations entitled, “WTC Business Under New Normal”. The webinar discussed the disruption caused by the global pandemic such as travel bans, community quarantine, no mass gathering, social-distancing, and other measures. With these challenges, short-term and long-term solutions were shared such as strategies to reposition and re-open exhibition facilities, goals to achieve with limited or no offline activities and technologies
available.
Echoing the sentiments of the international community, local organizations are also holding online talks and webinars to facilitate learnings and share best practices during this unusual times. In support of this endeavor, WTCMM President and CEO Ms. Pamela Pascual graced the first virtual dialogue of Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers, Inc. (PACEOS) held last May 1, 2020.
The International Association of Convention Centres and Union des Foires Internationales (UFI) jointly produced a guide as a collaborative project between the two organizations to promote efficiency and consistency amongst different types of member venues during this unprecedented times.
The launching of the guide led to an UFI Connects online session on April 20, 2020 where World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) President & CEO Ms. Pamela Pascual was invited as guest speaker along with representatives from Netherlands, Italy, UK, Singapore, Germany, Spain and Canada. Ms. Pascual shared WTCMM’s experience when it was tapped by the government to be a quarantine facility to address the looming gap in healthcare centers in the country. All the challenges encountered were addressed through meaningful collaborations with private organizations, generous donors and the Department of Health.
